J.J.H. Paulides received his MPhil and PhD from the University of Sheffield, UK, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. His research interests span all facets of electrical machines and actuators, with an emphasis on how these devices enable sustainability and their uniqueness in terms of multidisciplinary research. He is a program/technical member of various conferences related to electromagnetism and more electric applications. He is the CEO of the AE-Group, a specialised company manufacturing special electric machines and magnetic assemblies within the Netherlands. This company is able to deliver active suspension systems commercially for application at OEMs looking for the ultimate ride quality and handling performance.
Jason Zheng Jiang received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Ph.D. degree in Control Theory from the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. Dr Jiang joined the Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Bristol in 2013. He serves as the academic lead of the Vibration Suppression Research Unit, Dynamics and Control Group, and also an EPSRC Research Fellow on ‘Multidomain Vibration-Absorber Design’. Dr Jiang has long-standing research collaborations with industrial stakeholders from Automotive, Wind Energy, Rail and Civil sectors.
Alan Banks is the Lightweight Structures Supervisor at Ford Motor Company. He leads projects with light-weighting technologies and applications in design with mass production capability. This includes material choices from advanced steel to full composite and hybrid structures to produce the best value automotive applications. Alan has a First Class Honours Degree and an MSc from the University of Bradford in the UK. He is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineering Technology and a Fellow of the Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange, as well as a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, is on the Board of The Welding Institute Research Committee and a Director of the Board for the Composites UK Trade Association.
Fredrik has been in the system dynamics simulation business for over 20 years, now working as a technical specialist with a focus on Adams. In the last few years, interesting topics include the connection of Adams to other codes such as CFD, non-linear FEA, and control codes.
Dr. Ralf Leiter studied automotive engineering and electronics in Zwickau and Ilmenau. He joined Lucas in 1989 and held several positions. Lucas was then acquired by TRW - Ralf Leiter worked as chief engineer EPB. After working as director of advanced engineering in Meritor, he returned to TRW as chief engineer electronics. From 2014 Ralf worked for Mando Europe as Director ESC and later as Global Technical Advisor. Now he is employed by Mazars/eQS for consultancy in the automotive area.
Founder and General Manager of REYCON Koen Reybrouck has more than 30 years of experience in the area of advanced suspension research and development. Leading the development of conventional, leveling, semi-active, and fully active suspension systems, he worked together with many of the largest OEM’s worldwide and is a speaker and chairman on numerous congresses and conferences in this area.
Graduated as an electro-mechanical engineer at the University of Leuven, Kris started working in the automotive sector in 1993. He started as a Technical Consultancy Engineer in high-tech projects on NVH. Throughout his career, he acquired experience in Engineering Management and Technical Sales, promoted to Business Unit Manager and Managing Director within different industrial companies, and acquired worldwide experience in Europe, the USA, and Asia. Strongly convinced of the innovative power of the XenomatiX technology and the inevitable breakthrough of it, he joined this fast-growing high-tech company at the Research Park in Leuven, Belgium, as VP of Sales & Business Development in 2016.
